Here at Plump and Spry, we've been working like dogs lately (the first and final dog pun - honest)...
On the print front, we've been busy rebranding two magazines (more on that in another post) and have just secured another fantastic client.
Digitally, we've also been active - and are now pleased to announce the launch of a wonderful new pet resource www.poochmag.com.au
www.poochmag.com.au was launched to target a new, younger urban audience who typically would not buy traditional pet magazines. Pooch offers advice and education from talented journalists and pet industry professionals.
Rather than opt for an App, Plump & Spry chose to create a flexible, cross-platform, tablet-friendly, web based 'magazine'. In collaboration with pet journalists, vets and behaviourists, we then created targeted content, developed to attract and retain readers. The resulting articles can be relayed via Twitter, Facebook or Email thanks to social integration buttons on each page.
Viewers can also upload photos of their dogs to a public gallery, which are then voted on by members of the Pooch community.
The overall effect is a sassy, contemporary take on traditional pet mags with the benefits of online interaction.
Thanks to all involved on the Project: Caroline, Nigel, Tony, Dan, Matt and all the contributors who are too long to list here!
